According to Those In The Know, here's what's coming up in 2007.
Let's divvy them up a little bit, here.
Those I know absolutely nothing about:
Halo
Those I am kind of looking forward to:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Ender's Game
Indiana Jones 4 (possibly, although Harrison Ford is getting a little too long in the tooth now to play this kind of gay adventurer. On the other hand, if they bring back Papa, I'm there...)
The "don't they know when to stop?" department:
Fantastic Four 2
Batman Begins 2
Spider-Man 3
Shrek 3
Alien vs. Predator 2
Terminator 4
Wolverine (this would be X-mwn, um, four?...)
Jurassic Park IV (maybe)
(As in, what's wrong with this picture? Isn't there an original idea left in the house? And most of the immediate predecessors of these particular sequels were apalling to begin with - one review of "Alien vs Predator" that I saw asked plaintively what the film-makers had against both those creations - they might have been monsters but they didn't deserve the treatment they got - and now they're getting it AGAIN?)
Possibly in the same category is
Young Hannibal
(Okay, enough already. Hannibal Lecter kind of grosses you out the first time, but after that... it's just liver, dammit.)
The "okay, but why?" department:
Wonder Woman
The "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!" Department:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
(didn't they kind of shuffle off into the sunset a VERY LONG TIME ago? The original audience are now adults with vastly different obsessions, and I don't think the new generation is going to embrace the quartet with quite the same fervour. At any rate, they might have been cute, but they're kind of *weird*, dude. What's next, a Teletubbies movie?)
Looks like it'll be a year for renting videos...
