I'm sorry...

I got tickets for the Moscow Ballet production of Swan Lake at the Mount Baker Theatre here in Bellingham tonight. It's been our ballet, mine and my mother's, ever since she took me to it as a small wee thing way way wayyyy back and made me fall in love with swans, with point shoes, with Tchaikovsky.

It ain't gonna happen tonight. I'm sick, the roads are icy, the temperatures are subterranean and the logistics of doing this are getting to be too great to handle.

I'm sorry, Mama. I'm bitterly sorry.

This is the best I can do, to make up for it.
