No, Auntie didn't make it today. She's rescheduled. But if this monster (pay particular attention to the malevolent red glow under all that black smoke and ash, round about 0:55 mark) doesn't QUIT IT SOON even that may not eventuate.

Did I mention that volcanoes have always freaked me out anyway? The idea of rock flowing like water in precisely the way that rock SHOULDN'T has given me the screaming memies ever since I got to grips with that particular reality. All I know is that I don't particularly want to be any closer to a live and spewing volcano than I can help, thank you very much.

This, of course, is why I live a large dollop of lava's throw from Mount Baker.
