Calling the family again -

Fellow SFNovelist Dave Freer is moving. Not just down the road - he's picking up lock stock and barrel and shifting from one continent to another - from South Africa to Tasmania.

Here's the thing - he's saved and budgeted to move all his family, human and fur-kids - but circumstances (and exchange rates) are working against him,and he's facing a fairly substantial bill for care and quarantine of his critters during this move.

In order to make up the shortfall in his budget, he has set up a "storytellers bowl" site, which will publish a book he had sold to JBU before it closed down - a new chapter will go up every time a certain financial threshhold is reached in donations, and those who donate $25 or more will receive a signed copy of the published volume when it materialises in the real world.

The site has been up since Monday, has already had nearly 2000 hits, and it's about 1/4 of the way to what Dave hoped to achieve - but now he needs YOUR help, Science Fiction Family.

If you've ever loved an animal, if you've ever been in a situation where your fur family needed you, I know times are tough but put a few pennies in the bowl - in your fur-friend's name. THe site is here, so go take a look and see if you can help out.

Thank you all.
