In other news, my Denali is home. You might remember me mentioning him after I came back from ALAska, my little chainsaw-sculpture bear - well, my father volunteered to give him a coat of weather-repellent varnish so he (the bear) can live outside on my deck - and the weather just hasn't been warm enough for the job, until now. But he has been painted properly, and he's sitting out there on the deck in the spring sunshine, smiling gently. Pics as soon as I download them from the camera.
Tomorrow they're coming to fix my windows - when the folks who were to pressure-wash my deck came a couple of weeks ago, my lower-floor windows leaked magnificently and now the window people are coming to install some kind of window leakage guard - which should probably have been installed when the WINDOWS were, but what the hell, better late than never - and they're coming in tomorrow, early, and leaving whenever they are done - which means that tomorrow is going to be a messy day where I can't do much concentrated work on anything - and then I have my taxes to finally sort out and mail, plus some more bills - sigh - they DO breed, the bills - and after that, after THAT, so help me, I need to knuckle down and get the next CHAPTER of Book 3 sorted out.
In the meantime, those of you who have read Book 1, if you find yourself in a position where you think you might have something nice to say about it, please do mosey on to Amazon and leave a reader's review... much appreciated!
Back to spring, now - see you all later - my heartfelt commiserations to those who woke up to a winter wonderland this morning...
