Tree not here yet...

...but this morning there was snow on the ground. Not much of it, and it's all pretty much gone now and everything is a wet slushy mess, but there was SNOW. We can still see white-outlined firs on the mountainside we can see from our bedroom window. Things are looking up [grin]

Today, tree notwithstanding, I need to get back into my edits. If I can stop humming "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow" for a moment...

UPDATE: the Christmas lights are out. Supervised every step of the way from the appropriate windows by my know-it-all cats.

Just ordered a set of these the other day -

- it's my first book, ever, and it's been around for a round 10 years now and STILL brings in a trickle of royalties, and I'm very proud of it - and when they arrived I discovered that it's been reprinted AGAIN last year, bringing it to its ninth edition. Not bad going for a handful of stories...

However, given that these were published under an educational rather than commercial imprint and given what I've been writing since this was published, I suspect that not many people even know about this one. So I'd like to introduce you to my firstborn:
