Just been to my local indie bookstore; they had a "Potter party" last night for the launch, like everyone else on the planet, apparently.

"So," I said conversationally, "how many did you sell last night?"

"About 600," said the owner of the store, carrying two large empty boxes with "Harry Potter" emblazoned on them.
