Jin Shei Cover from sgreer
-right here. "Night Train" is described thusly: "The story stays in a wonderfully soft, dark, eerie place..."

I'm very happy I appear to have succeeded in word-painting that place.

Thank you, talekyn

Should you find yourself in a position of wanting to do something similar in the future - do an anthology story-by-story, as it were - may I also bring to your attention the antho which was my EDITORIAL debut, and contains stories by the likes of Brenda Cooper, Jay Lake, Irene Radford, Tiffany Trent, Joshua Palmatier, Seanan McGuire, and Nisi Shawl, amongst others? The Anthology is called "River", and the publisher is Dark Quest Books. Its distinction from any other story collection, anywhere, is that it does not have a Table of Contents. It has a MAP of contents, with eveyr story placed on the map according to where on the course of a river it takes place. I would LOVE to see your take on that one...

Since my goal is to read 365 short stories every year (a certain amount now taken up by proofreading each month's ebook edition of Lightspeed magazine, of course) ... I'd love to read and review River! The Map of Contents concept sounds cool.
